Prophet to the Children of Israel

A prophet of God, sent by God to the children of Israel, and he took over the kingdom after the death of his father David, peace be upon them both.

Miracles of Solomon, peace be upon him

God subjected many things to him: such as humans, jinn, birds, winds, and so on. They do whatever he wants with the permission of his Lord, and they do not deviate from his obedience. He asks for it, and they make niches for him, statues, and basins from which water flows.

The Almighty said: {And to Solomon is the wind, its morning is a month and its wind is a month, and We sent for him the well of rain, and among the jinn are those who work before Him by the permission of their Lord, and those among them deviate from it. We commanded that we make him taste of the punishment of the Blazing Blaze, so that they make for him whatever he wants of altars, statues, basins like bowls, and well-placed cauldrons. Thankful (Saba: 12-13)

And God Almighty taught Solomon the language of birds and animals, and he had a great and powerful army consisting of humans, jinn and birds.

The intelligence of Solomon, peace be upon him

Solomon was always remembering and thanking God for these blessings, many prayers, praises and seeking forgiveness, and God Almighty granted Solomon, peace be upon him, intelligence from his youth, so one day he went as usual with his father David, peace be upon him, to the courthouse, and two of the men entered, one of whom was the owner of a land with crops And the other was a shepherd of the sheep, and that was to decide their case.

The owner of the land said: This man has sheep that graze, and they entered my land at night and spoiled the crops in it, so judge between us with justice. David did not judge this case until he heard the argument of the other, then he was sure of the truth What the owner of the land said, so he ruled for him to take the sheep in exchange for the losses incurred in his garden, but Solomon, peace be upon him, despite his young age, had another ruling, so he asked permission from his father to present it, so he gave him permission, so Solomon ruled that the owner of the sheep takes the land to fix it, and takes the owner of the land The sheep to benefit from their milk and wool, so when the owner of the sheep finished repairing the land, he took his sheep, and the owner of the garden took his garden.

And this ruling was the correct ruling and the best opinion, so they agreed to that ruling and accepted it with satisfaction, and David, peace be upon him, was impressed by his son Solomon’s understanding of this issue despite his being young, and he agreed to his son’s ruling, and God Almighty mentioned that in the Qur’an. In the field, when the people's flocks ran wild in it, and We were witnesses of their judgment, so Solomon understood it, and each We gave wisdom and knowledge, and We subjected with David the mountains, glorifying the mountain He sees, and We were active.” [Al-Anbiya: 78-79]

Solomon heard the words of the ant

One day, Solomon was walking with his soldiers from the jinn and humans, and above him the birds shaded him, so he heard the voice of an ant saying to its companions: {...O ants, enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his soldiers destroy you while they do not perceive} [An-Naml: 18]

So Solomon smiled at what this ant said, and raised his hand to the sky, praying to his Lord, thanking him for this blessing. Take care of Your righteous servants (An-Naml:19)

Sheba people

Days passed, and while Solomon, peace be upon him, was walking among his soldiers and inspecting their positions, he looked towards the birds, and he did not find the hoopoe among the birds, and at that time the hoopoe had left its place without Solomon knowing, so Solomon got angry with him with great anger, and he said:) I will punish him severely or I will slaughter him. Or to bring me a clear authority? (An-Naml:21)

And the hoopoe was absent for a period of time, and when he returned, the birds told him to ask Suleiman about him, so the hoopoe went immediately to Suleiman, and said to him: } Then he stayed not long, then he said: I encompassed what you did not comprehend, and I came to you from Sheba with certain news. Oh, she owns them, she was given everything, and she has a throne. I found it great, and its people prostrate to the sun instead of God, and Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them, so he has barred them from the path, so they are not guided.” [An-Naml: 22-24]

The hoopoe found the people of Sheba prostrating to the sun and worshiping it instead of God, so he was saddened by that, so he did not imagine that anyone would prostrate to other than God, so Solomon wanted to make sure of the sincerity of the hoopoe, so he wrote a brief letter calling on the queen and her people to Islam and faith in God - the Almighty - and leave what they are He worshiped the sun, and gave it to the hoopoe, to take it to the Kingdom of Sheba, and then wait for them to answer, so the hoopoe took Solomon’s book, and flew with it to the Kingdom of Sheba, then entered the queen’s room without anyone realizing it, so he delivered the message to her and then stood far from her, watching her and her people What will they do when they read this message?

The queen took the letter, read what was in it, and was impressed with it, but she refrained from taking any decision regarding this letter until the senior people of the princes and ministers consulted, so she invited them to attend, and told them what was in this letter, and asked them for advice in the matter, so they suggested to her to fight Solomon, so they understood Those with power, but the queen did not accept the principle of war and fighting because she sensed the strength of Solomon, and suggested to her people that she send him a gift worthy of his status, and wait for his response, so that he might accept that, or impose a tribute on them, and leave fighting them.

A few days later, the queen's messengers arrived with great gifts and wonderful treasures, and they entered Solomon and put the great gifts in front of him, so Solomon - peace be upon him - turned away from them and did not accept them from them, and he said to them: You rejoice ([An-Naml: 36]

Then he warned them that if they did not surrender, he would come to them with soldiers who would not be able to respond and stand before them. To fight them and leave their homes, and when the queen's messengers returned, they went to her, and told her what happened between them and Solomon, and they talked about what they saw of his strength and might and what God subjected him to, so Queen Bilqis gathered the senior men of her state from the ministers and princes to consult them in the matter of Solomon, so they saw that they all go to him surrendering And this was the Queen's opinion also, whereupon she raised the state of emergency for all to prepare to go to Solomon.

And Suleiman learned of the coming of Bilqis, the Queen of Sheba, and her people to him for Islam and faith, so he wanted to show her a sign of God, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful, so that she would know that he was sent from his Lord. To get up from his council, and another man who has knowledge from the book told him that he can bring the throne before he returns to him the blink of his eye, so Solomon authorized this righteous servant who has knowledge from the book to bring the throne, and in moments the throne of Bilqis was in front of Solomon, so Solomon mentioned God's blessing upon him He favored him by making one of his soldiers capable of bringing the throne of Bilqis from Yemen to the Levant in the blink of an eye. By the grace of my Lord, to test me, should I be grateful or I disbelieve, and whoever is grateful, he is thanking only for himself, and whoever disbelieves, then indeed, my Lord is Self-sufficient, Generous (An-Naml: 40).

Suleiman ordered the jinn to build him a great palace, so that he would receive the Queen of Sheba in it, and he pointed out to them that the floor of this palace be made of very solid and transparent glass, with water passing under it, and then they put her throne in it after making some changes to it to see if the queen will be guided or not? Days passed, and the news of the arrival of the queen and her people spread, so Solomon went out to receive her, then he took her back to the palace that he had prepared for her. She said in astonishment and astonishment, ruling out that the one in front of her is her throne, as she left it there in the land of Yemen: As if it is!!

When Bilqis came to enter the palace, she saw water in front of her, but did not see glass, so she revealed her legs for fear that her dress would get wet, so Suleiman told her that the floor of the palace was made of glass, so when the queen saw these signs, she declared her conversion to Islam, and she said: I calculated it as a journey and revealed about its legs, he said that it is a discouragement from the bottles of the bottles.

Solomon's disease, peace be upon him

God afflicted Solomon, peace be upon him, with a severe, hot disease in which human and jinn doctors came to him with medicines of every kind, but he did not write a cure for him. With Solomon for a long period of time, he was not alarmed by it and did not despair, but the more his illness was severe, he increased his remembrance of God, supplicating and asking forgiveness for him, asking him for recovery, until God responded to him, and his health returned to him, so Solomon realized that his glory, dominion and greatness did not guarantee him recovery. Unless God wills.

The death of Solomon, peace be upon him

Solomon, peace be upon him, wanted to build a large house in which God was worshipped, so he commissioned the jinn to build this house, so they responded to him, because they were subject to him by God’s command, so they did not disobey him in command, and it was Solomon’s habit to stand before the jinn while they were working, so that they would not be lazy while he was Standing and watching them leaning on his stick, he died without the jinn knowing, and they used to look at him while he was in this state, so they thought that he was praying and remembering God, so they continued building without interruption until they finished building the required house, and they did not know that he died until after the land came and ate the stick, and he fell Prophet of God Solomon on earth.

So the jinn and humans hurried to him and found him dead, and the jinn realized that he had died a long time ago, and if they had known that they would not have continued carrying stones and building the house. The jinn realized that if They knew the unseen as long as they tarried in humiliating torment.” [Saba: 14]

Some Jews claimed that Solomon was a magician, and mocked all beings with his magic, so God denied that from him in His saying, the Most High: {And they followed what the devils recited about the kingdom of Solomon, and Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved...} [Al-Baqara: 102]

And God praised Solomon for his abundance of worship and supplication to God, and the Almighty said: “And We endowed David Solomon with the best of a servant, for he is obedient” [p. 30]
