 Lot, peace be upon him

Lot called his people to worship God

God sent Lot to guide his people and invite them to the worship of God, and they were unjust people who committed abominations and assaulted strangers, and they used to come to men with lust rather than women, so when Lot called them to leave the abominations, they wanted to expel him and his people. Lot called on God to save them and destroy the corrupt, so the angels came to him and brought out Lot and those who believed in him and destroyed others with poisoned stones

Lot called his people to worship God alone, with no partner, and forbade them to earn bad deeds and immoralities. His invitation clashed with hard hearts, sick whims, and arrogant rejection. They sentenced Lot and his family to expulsion from the village. The people to whom Lot was sent were committing a large number of heinous crimes. They were blocking the road, betraying a comrade, advising each other to sin, and not forbidding evil, and they added to their crime record a crime that no one in the worlds had ever done before. They were bringing lust to men without women

The standards of Lot's people were broken.. Men became desirable targets instead of women, and purity and purification became a crime that required expulsion.. They were sick, refusing and resisting healing.. The behavior of Lot's people grieved Lot's heart.. They were committing their crime openly in their club.. and they were If a stranger, a traveler, or a guest entered the city, no one would rescue him from their hands, and they used to say to Lot: You host the women and leave the men for us, and their disastrous fame spread, and Lot fought them a great jihad, and established his argument against them, and the days, months and years passed, and he continued his call without believing. No one has believed in him except his family. Even his family did not believe in him all. His wife was an infidel

And the matter increased when the infidels mocked the message of Lot, peace be upon him, and they were saying: {...send us the punishment of God if you are of the truthful} [Al-Ankabut: 29]

The angels go to Lot's people

The angels left Abraham's house, heading to the village of Lot

She said [while remembering her people]: Do not enter your place until I tell my father and come to you.. I hurried towards her father and told him. So Lot ran towards the strangers. He had hardly seen them until: }.. he felt bad for them and was fed up with them and said, “This is a difficult day.” [Hud: 77]

He asked them: Where did they come from? And what is their destination? So they were silent about his answer. And they asked him to add them, he was ashamed of them and walked in front of them for a bit, then stopped and turned to them saying: I do not know on the face of the earth more insidious than the people of this country

He said his word to divert them from spending the night in the village, but they turned a blind eye to what he said and did not comment on it, and he went back to walking with them and twisting the neck of the hadith and breaking it forcibly and proceeding with it to the people of the village

Tell them that they are malicious, that they disgrace their guests, tell them that they are corrupt in the land. The struggle was going on inside him, trying to reconcile Amril, to divert his guests from staying overnight in the village without embarrassing them, and without prejudice to the hospitality. In vain he tried to understand them and hint to them to continue their journey, without going down in this village

Night fell on the city, and Lot accompanied his guests to his house. None of the people of the city saw them. As soon as his wife witnessed the guests, she crept out without noticing him. She rushed to her people and told them the news, and the news spread like wildfire. And Lot's people came rushing to him. Lot asked himself: Who told them? The people stood at the door of the house, and Lot went out to them, clinging to one last hope, and began preaching to them

He said, “O my people, these are my daughters. They are purer for you. So fear God, and do not disgrace me in my guest. Is there not among you a rational man?” [Hud: 78]. - He prepared them for this And he tried to touch their souls from the side of piety after he touched it from the side of instinct. He told them to fear God and remember that God hears and sees, and gets angry and punishes. And they should honor the guest, not expose him

(...Isn't there a rational man among you?) Isn't there a sane man among you?.. What you want - if it is achieved - is the very essence of madness

However, the words of Lot, peace be upon him, did not touch the sick, deviant instinct, nor the rigid, dead heart, nor the sick, foolish mind.. The abnormal outburst remained impulsive

Lot sensed his weakness while he was a stranger among the people.. He was displaced to them from afar without a clan to protect him, and no male children to defend him.. Lot entered angrily and closed the door of his house.. The strangers he hosted were sitting quiet and silent.. Lot was amazed at their calmness.. and the people’s blows increased. At the door.. and Lot cried out in a moment of suffocating despair: “If only I had strength through you, or shelter in a strong pillar” [Hud: 80] On the authority of Lot, in his hardship and anguish, that he shelters in a severe pillar, the pillar of God who does not abandon his prophets and his saints

The destruction of Lot's people

When the distress reached its climax and the Prophet said his word, his guests moved and suddenly got up, and they understood that he was sheltering in a severe corner, and they said to him, “Do not panic, O Lot, and do not be afraid. We are angels, and these people will not reach you.” Then Gabriel, peace be upon him, got up, and gave a quick sign with his hand, so the people lost their sight

The angels turned to Lot and ordered him to accompany his family during the night and go out, and that they would hear horrific sounds that would shake the mountains, but he commanded them not to turn any of them around so that he would not be afflicted by what afflicts the people. What torment is this? It is a torment of a strange kind, enough for a person to fall upon it just by looking at it.. Make him understand that his wife was one of those who stayed behind

Lot asked the angels: Will God inflict chastisement upon them now.. Tell him that their appointment with chastisement is the morning (...isn't the morning near)?

Lot went out with his daughters and his wife, and they walked at night and fed the march, and the morning approached, and Lot had moved away with his family, then the command of God Almighty came. Their roosters and the barking of their dogs, the heart of the seven cities and fell them to the ground

During the fall, the sky was showering them with stones from hell, strong, solid stones that followed one another, marked with their names, and capable of them

The cities collapsed on their heads, and they plunged into the earth, until the water exploded from the earth. Lot's people perished and their cities were wiped out

Lot was hearing horrific voices.. and he was careful to turn behind him. His wife looked towards the source of the sound, and she finished, her body crumbled and crumbled like a fallen pillar of salt

Scientists said: The location of the seven cities is a strange lake, its water is brackish, and the density of the water is greater than the density of the salty sea water. It is said that the current lake that we know as the "Dead Sea" in Palestine is the former cities of Lot's people. God knows
