Ayoub, peace be upon him
Lineage of the Prophet Ayyub, peace be upon him
Ayoub, peace be upon him, was a noble prophet whose lineage goes back to Ibrahim Al-Khalil, peace be upon him. The Almighty said: } And We gave him Isaac and Jacob, both of whom We guided and Noah. Moses and Aaron, and thus do We recompense the doers of good.” [Al-An’am: 84]
The patience of Prophet Ayoub, peace be upon him
Ayoub had a lot of money, cattle, and slaves, and he had a good wife and good offspring. So God wanted to test him and put him to the test, so he lost his money, his children died, he lost what he had of bounties and blessings, and he got sick, so Ayoub was patient with all of that, and he kept remembering God Almighty and thanking Him
The days passed, and the more a day passed, the more severe the affliction was for Ayoub, except that he was facing the severe affliction with more patience, and when the affliction increased, the family cut off from him, and the friends turned away from him, so he was patient and did not get angry or object to God’s judgment
And Ayoub remained in his illness for a long time, not complaining, nor objecting to God’s command, and he remained patient and rewarding, praising God and thanking Him, thus becoming a unique model in patience and endurance
After a long patience, Ayoub turned to his Lord. To remove from him what is in him of harm and sickness: {And Job, when he called out to his Lord, “Indeed, harm has afflicted me, and you are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.” [The Prophets: 83]
So God inspired Ayoub to hit the ground with his foot, so Ayoub complied with the command of his Lord, and a spring of cold water exploded, so he washed from it. He healed, God willing, and there was no wound left in him except that he was cured of it, then he drank a drink, and there was no disease left in his stomach except that he came out, and returned intact, and returned as he was a beautiful young man. 84]
And Ayoub's wife looked at him and found him in the best form. ([The Prophets: 84]
The Prophet Ayoub is a role model in patience
And God Almighty made Ayoub, peace be upon him, a role model for every believer who was afflicted in his body, his money, or his child, as God afflicted him with what is greater than that, so he was patient and rewarded until God relieved him. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “While Ayoub was bathing naked, a man of golden locusts fell on him. do you see? He said: Yes, Lord, but I am indispensable for Your blessing. [Bukhari]
