The Prophet in Taif

Not content with simply driving him out, they incited their fools and slaves to insult him, throw stones at him, and shout derogatory remarks. The Prophet was severely injured, with blood flowing from his feet due to the stone-throwing.
Feeling immense pain, sorrow, and fatigue, the Prophet fell to the ground. In this moment of despair, the angel Gabriel appeared to him, informing him that God had sent the King of the Mountains to punish the people of Taif for their treatment of the Prophet. The King of the Mountains offered to crush the people between the two mountains as retribution. However, the Prophet, out of his profound compassion and hope for their eventual acceptance of Islam, chose to forgive them. He expressed his hope that from their descendants, there would arise someone who worships God alone and associates nothing with Him.

If You do not have anger on me, then I do not care, except that Your well-being is wider for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your face that illuminates the darkness, and that the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are right for it, that Your anger descends upon me, or that Your wrath descends on me. You are satisfied, and there is neither power nor strength except with You."
These heartfelt words resonated with the people of the garden, stirring their emotions. Eventually, they turned away from the Prophet, recognizing the depth of his sincerity and his connection with God. Later, they sent a Christian boy named Addas to serve the Prophet. After sharing some food, Addas, astonished by the Prophet's demeanor, inquired about his origin. The Prophet replied that he was a prophet, and his brother Yunus (Jonah) was also a prophet. This revelation deeply moved Addas, who kissed the hands and feet of the Prophet, acknowledging his greatness.
Addas' reaction further unsettled the sons of Rabia, but they found it difficult to expel the Prophet from Taif due to the positive impact he had on the people. Despite the initial hostility, the Prophet's compassion and sincerity eventually touched the hearts of those in Taif, showcasing his unwavering faith and resilience in the face of adversity.
The return of the Prophet, peace be upon him, to Mecca
