Mrs Khadija
A woman of honor and wealth, and she used to trade with her money, and she would hire men with her money and give it to them with something that she would make for them from it. And peace and blessings be upon him accepted this matter, so he departed to the Levant, working with her money, and with him a facilitator. He was successful in this trip more than any other than before, and he returned to Khadija with double profits, so he fulfilled her trust with the utmost good manners and great nobility. And he found ease with the characteristics of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his great morals, what filled his heart
So Khadija was impressed by his great honesty, perhaps she was amazed at what he got from the blessing because of him, so she offered herself to him as a wife through her friend (Nafisa bint Muniya), so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, agreed, and he spoke about that with his uncles and asked them to propose to him, so they got engaged to him from her uncle Umar bin Asad, and he married her, pray God bless him and grant him peace, and he was twenty-five years old, and she was forty
Mrs. Khadija, before marrying the Prophet, had previously married two men, the first of whom was Ateeq bin Aed Al-Tamimi, and the second was Abu Hala Al-Tamimi, whose name was Hind bin Zarara
Lessons and sermons
As for his work, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, with Khadija’s money, it is a continuation of the life of toil that he began by grazing sheep, and we have explained a part of what is related to that of wisdom and lesson. Throughout his life, it was proven in the Two Sahihs that she was the best woman of her time
Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated that Ali, may God be pleased with him, heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: The best of her women is Maryam bint Imran, and the best of her women is Khadija bint Khuwaylid
Al-Bukhari and Muslim also narrated that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said: “I was not jealous of the wives of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, except for Khadija, and I did not catch up with her.” The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: I was destined to be given her love
Ahmad and al-Tabarani narrated through Masruq on the authority of Aisha, she said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, hardly left the house until he mentioned Khadija and praised her well, so he mentioned her one day, so jealousy seized me, so I said: Was she but an old woman that God had replaced you with a better one than her? He got angry, then said:
No, by God, God would not replace me with something better than her: She believed when people disbelieved, she believed me when people denied me, and she treated me with what she had when people denied me, and God blessed me with children from her to the exclusion of other women)
And about his marriage to her, the first thing we realize of their marriage is the lack of interest of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, with physical pleasure and its complements. It is clear to us that he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, only desired her for her honor and nobility, according to the age of her group and her people, so that she was called in the pre-Islamic era the pure chaste
This marriage continued until Khadija died at the age of sixty-five. The Prophet, may blessings and peace be upon him, approached fifty years of age, during which he did not think of marrying any woman or missed another, and between twenty and fifty years of age is the time when the desire for women moves and the tendency to polygamy and the rush of lust
But Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, passed this period of his life without thinking, as we have said, of adding to Khadija a female like her: his wife or his mother. This is despite the fact that he married Khadija, who is im, and she was older than him
And in this is what bridles the mouths of the people whose hearts are eaten by hatred against Islam and the strength of its authority, from the missionaries and the Orientalists and their slaves who walk behind them, yelling at what they hear only a supplication and a call, as God Almighty said
They thought that they would find in the issue of the marriage of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, an aberration from which Islam would be afflicted and that it could distort the reputation of Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And the soul
And that the oriental missionaries are the fiercest opponents of Islam. They take insulting this religion as a work for them, devoting themselves to it and earning from it. Their opponents of Islam are nothing but the kind of badge that a man may hang on his chest just to make known by it his affiliation with a particular party, and it is known that the badge is nothing more than a symbol, so those opponents of Islam are nothing but the symbol by which they announce their identity among people: they are not from this date Islamic in anything, and their allegiance is to this colonial thought
Otherwise, the issue of the marriage of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is one of the easiest things that can be deduced from by an insightful Muslim who knows his religion and is familiar with the life of his Prophet, contrary to what the opponents of this religion propagate completely
They want to attach to him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, pictures of the lustful man immersed in the pleasures of the flesh... And the issue of his marriage, peace and blessings be upon him, is the only sufficient evidence to the contrary.. The lustful man does not live at the age of twenty-five in an environment like that of the Arabs in their ignorance. A chaste soul without being drawn into any of the corrupt currents that ripple around him.
And the lustful man does not accept after that to marry an imam of hers who is nearly twice his age. Then he lives with her without extending his eye to anything of what is around him, and that there are many around him, and he has more than one way to do so, until he passes the stage of youth, then old age, and enters the stages of old age
As for his marriage after that to Aisha and then others, each of them has a story, and each marriage has its own wisdom and reason that increase the Muslim’s faith in the greatness of Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in his elevation and the perfection of his morals. Whatever the wisdom and the reason, it cannot be a mere fulfillment of the desire and a response to a sexual desire
