Natural prophetic medicines
They are the natural medicines with which the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, treated or recommended their treatment for many diseases. It includes the treatment of a number of diseases such as fever and conjunctivitis. It includes treatment with honey, camel urine and milk, secretion of blood, ironing, cupping, fennel, henna, dates, talbeenah and others. All of them are mentioned in the Quranic verses and the Sunnah of the Prophet.
Fever treatment for organic diseases
Fever is divided into two categories: episodic, which is caused either by swelling, movement, sun exposure, or intense heat. And satisfactory: it is of three types: and it is only in a first substance, then from it the whole body is heated. If the principle of its attachment to the spirit is called a fever of a day, because it usually disappears in a day, and its end is three days, and if the principle of its attachment to the humors is called musty, and it is of four types: biliary, melancholy, phlegmatic, and bloody. And if the principle of its attachment to the original solid organs, it is called a tick fever, and under these types there are many varieties. The body may benefit from fever in a great way that medicine does not reach, and often day fever and mold fever are a reason for the ripening of thick materials that were not ripe without it, and a reason for opening the dams that the open medicines did not reach. As for recent and advanced ophthalmia, it cures most of its types with a miraculous and rapid recovery, and is beneficial for hemiplegia, retinopathy, spasms of fullness, and many diseases that occur as a result of excessive curiosity. Ibn al-Qayyim : In Many diseases, we rejoice in fever, just as the patient rejoices in health, so the fever in him is much more beneficial than drinking medicine, because it matures from mixtures and corrupt substances that harm the body.
A hadith related to the treatment of fever was mentioned in a hadith narrated by al-Tirmidhi in his university: “If one of you is afflicted with a fever, and the fever is a piece of fire, then he should extinguish it with cold water , and receive a flowing river, so let him receive the flow of pain.” A after dawn and before sunrise, and let him say: In the name of God, O God, heal your servant, and believe your Messenger. And he immerses himself in it three dips for three days, if he recovers, otherwise in five, and if he does not recover in five, then seven, and if he does not recover in seven, then nine, for it hardly exceeds nine, God willing.
Flatulence treatment
And in the Two Sahihs: From the hadith of Abi Al-Mutawakkil on the authority of Abi Saeed Al-Khudri: ((A man came to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he said: My brother is complaining. And in a narration: His stomach came out, and he said: ((Give him honey)) So he went and then came back and said: I gave him water to drink, and it did not benefit him at all And in the wording: He only increased his divorce by two or three times, and all of that he says to him: ((Give him honey so he can drink)) So he said to him on the third or fourth: (God Almighty has spoken the truth. And your brother's stomach lied)).
Plague prevention
And the plague is a bad tumor that fights and comes out with a great inflammation, and exceedingly painful in measure, and that which surrounds it becomes mostly black and green, or opaque, and rapidly turns into ulceration. In most cases, it occurs in three places: in the armpit, behind the ear, groin, and in soft meat.
And in a narration on the authority of Aisha bint Abi Bakr, she said to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: The plague that we knew, so what is the plague? He said: A gland like a camel's gland that comes out of the hypochondrium and the armpit. Ahmed included it, and its chain is Hassan.
And in the two Sahihs, on the authority of Amer bin Saad bin Abi Waqqas, on the authority of his father, that he heard him ask Osama bin Zaid: What did you hear from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? it about the plague? Osama said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The plague is a plague that afflicted a group of the children of Israel and those before you. Rare from it)).
Treatment with camel urine and milk
And in the two Sahihs: From the hadith of Anas bin Malik, he said: They took the camels and fought God and His Messenger, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was sent after them, and they were. He took it, cut off their hands and feet, gouged out their eyes, and threw them into the sun until they died.” Narrated by al-Bukhari in Medicine: Chapter What is mentioned about the plague.
Wound treatment
In al-Saheehayn, on the authority of Abu Hazim, he heard Sahl bin Sa’d asking about what was used to treat the wound of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, on the day of Uhud. He said: "His face was wounded, his quadriceps were broken, and the egg was smashed on his head. Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was washing the blood, and Ali bin Abi Talib was pouring on her with madness. When Fatima saw the blood only increase a lot, she took a piece of mat and burned it until it became ashes." a I stuck it to the wound, and the blood caught, with the ashes of papyrus mats.”
Ibn al-Qayyim says: “It has a strong effect in stopping the blood, because it has a strong drying effect and lacks stinging. Strong drying medicines, if they have stinging, irritate the blood and bring it on, and this ashes, if blown alone or with vinegar into the nose of the bleed nose, cuts off his epistaxis.”
Treatment by drinking honey, cupping and cauterization
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of the Prophet, he said:
“Healing is in three: drinking it with honey, a dash of scalpel, and cauterization with fire, and I forbid my nation to cauterise.”
Sciatica treatment
Muhammad bin Majah narrated in his Sunan from the hadith of Muhammad bin Sirin , on the authority of Anas bin Malik , he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, say: “The medicine for sciatica is the buttocks of an Arab sheep that are thawed, then divided into three parts, then one part is drunk on an empty stomach every day.”
Body itch treatment
In the two Sahihs from the hadith of Qatada, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, he said: “Th Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, authorized Abd al-Rahman bin Awf and Al-Zubair bin Al- Awwam, may God Almighty be pleased with them, to wear silk because of an itching that was in them.”
Pleurisy treatment
Al-Tirmidhi narrated in his Jami’ from the hadith of Zaid bin Arqam, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Treat from the same pleurisy with castor oil and oil.”
Healing treatment
Abu Dawud narrated in ((Sunan)) from the hadith of Mujahid, on the authority of Saad, he said: ((I fell ill with a disease, so the Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, came to me to visit me, so he put his hand between my breasts until I felt its cool on my heart, and he said to me: You are a man who is fed, so come to the farmer Bin Kalda from Thaqif, for he is a a man who takes medicine, so let him take seven dates from the dated dates of Medina, and cover them with their pits, then let him give birth to you with them)). Al-Mafud: The one whose heart is afflicted, and he is complaining about it, like the one whose stomach is complaining. Al-Ludud: What a person drinks from one side of the mouth.
