Anas, may God be pleased with him, says: My mother took me by the hand and took me to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and she said: “O Messenger of God, there is not a man or woman left among the Ansar that I have not given you a gift, and I am not capable of what I give you except this son of mine, so take him, so let him serve you as you wish.” So I served the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, for ten years, and he did not hit me, nor did he insult me, nor rebuke me, nor did he frown at me. Peace be upon him, so I do not tell them about it, and I will never tell the secret of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to anyone

The good

The Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered Anas bin Malik, and he said that he had a nap and he sweated, so his mother came with a flask and started to pour sweat into it. She said: “This is your sweat, we put it in our perfume, and it is one of the best fragrances from the fragrance of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him”

Anas went out with the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to Badr while he was a boy serving him. Ishaq bin Othman asked Musa bin Anas: “How much did the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, conquer?” He said: “Twenty-seven battles, eight battles in which the months are absent, and nineteen in which the days are absent.” He said: “How much did Anas bin Malik invade?” He said: “Eight battles”

Talking about the messenger

Anas, may God be pleased with him, used to speak little about the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and when he spoke, he would say when he finished: Or as the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said. So he became very angry and said: “By God, we did not hear all that we speak to you from the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, but we used to talk to each other, and we did not accuse each other”

Abu Ghalib said: “I have not seen anyone who was more supportive in his words than Anas bin Malik”

Clarity

Anas, may God be pleased with him, was afflicted with leprosy. Ahmed bin Salih al-Ajli said: “No one among the companions of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was afflicted except for two men: Ma’eqib who had this disease, leprosy, and Anas bin Malik who had leprosy”

Anas bin Malik was one of the successful archers, and he commanded his son to shoot in front of him, and he might shoot with them and beat them with his heavy hitting

Sent to Bahrain

When Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was appointed caliph, he sent Anas bin Malik to direct him to Bahrain on an expedition. Omar entered upon him, and Abu Bakr said to him: “I wanted to send this man to Bahrain while he was a young man.” Omar said to him: “Send him, for he is an intelligent writer”

The knowledge of Anas bin Malik

When Anas died, may God be pleased with him, Muraq al-Ajli said: “Today half of the knowledge has gone.” It was said to him: “How is that, O Abu al-Mughira?” He said: “A man was one of the people of desires. If we disagreed with the hadeeth of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we said to him: Come to the one who heard it from him,” meaning Anas bin Malik

Thabit Al-Banani entered upon Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, and said: “Did your eyes see the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? He said: “Yes.” So he kissed them, then said: “So your feet went about the needs of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him? He said: “Yes.” Then he kissed them, then said:



“So you poured water with your hands?” He said: “Yes.” He kissed them, then Anas said to him: “O Thabit, I poured water with my hand on the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, for his ablution, and he said to me: “Oh boy, perform ablution thoroughly, your life will increase, spread peace, your good deeds will multiply, and more than reading the Qur’an, you will come with me on the Day of Resurrection like these two And he said with his two fingers like this, the index and middle fingers

Loss of prayer

Anas bin Malik came to Damascus during the era of Muawiya, and Al-Walid bin Abd al-Malik when he became caliph in the year eighty-six, and one day Al-Zuhri entered him in Damascus while he was alone, and he found him crying, so he said to him: “What makes you cry? He said: “I do not know anything of what we realized except this prayer, and this prayer has been wasted” because of the delay by the governors from the beginning of its time.

Earth watering

Thabit said: “I was with Anas, and his steward – in charge of his affairs – came to him and said: “O Abu Hamza, our land is thirsty.” So Anas got up, performed ablution and went out into the wilderness, prayed two rak’ahs, then supplicated. Some of his family, and he said: “Look where the sky has reached.” So he looked, and his land was no longer but a little

The death of Anas bin Malik

He died, may God be pleased with him, in Basra, and he was the last of the Companions to die in Basra, and that was most likely in the year (93 AH), and he was over a hundred and was buried two leagues from Basra. God, peace be upon him, put it under my tongue.” He said: “So I put it under his tongue, and he was buried while it was under his tongue”

He also had a disobedience to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, so he died, and it was buried with him between his pocket and between his shirt
