Ibn al-Qayyim quoted in his book Zad al-Ma’ad on the authority of the physician Ibn Sina, the author of the book Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb in the treatment of dropsy: “And the most beneficial of urine: the urine of the Bedouin camel, and he is the answer. ..... And camel urine is useful in dropsy and hardness of the spleen, especially with pollen milk.

Ibn Sina described the treatment of dropsy of all kinds in his book Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb, where he said: “Among the pastes, especially after purification, is the antidote, the mithroditos, the medicine of turmeric, the medicine of lacquer, and the bergamot, and they may have been drunk from the milk of Arab camels and their urine, especially in strong burly bodies, and especially if the time is poor cannulation and it almost becomes ascites . And they may have given two ounces of camel urine from Skanjabin to half a mithqal or more, and likewise with goats’ urine.” Also, “It may be mixed with camel urine, and it may be limited to food and drink, and other people’s food may be added to it.”

And he said in the treatment of diseases of the spleen: “Two dirhams are taken from it every day, followed by urine, and the benefit of camel milk and their urine is very intense............. A spoonful of camel urine or cow urine or caper peels is taken from it. Four dirhams of long rhubarb and two dirhams with seeds The pepper and pepper are six dirhams each, and discs are taken from it.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sciences in Rabat and the Director of Medical Laboratories at the Sudanese University of Gezira revealed a scientific experiment using (camel urine) to treat dropsy and liver tumors, which proved successful in treating patients with these diseases.

A female researcher in Saudi Arabia developed a treatment for some skin diseases and some wounds using camel urine, where she produced an ointment prepared from camel urine and obtained a patent from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia. For this idea, she received a silver medal and a certificate of appreciation from the International Invention Exhibition, which It was held in the Swiss capital, Geneva, in its thirty-third session in 2005, and she won the gold medal for the woman inventor from the World Intellectual Property Organization for treatment with camel urine.
